The Benin ivory mask is a carved portrait in ivory of Idia, the first Iyoba (Queen Mother) of the 16th century Benin Empire. The Mask of Queen Idia was used as the official symbol of FESTAC, the second World African Festival of Art and Culture that took place in Lagos, Nigeria in 1977.
A premium essential, our “Queen Mother, Idia” unisex ringer shirts are made from 100% cotton and are soft to the touch.
